Bonded and licensed with the TLC, without the runaround.
The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission requires a surety bond before it will license a base station. BF Bond has been writing them for New York operators for decades, and we know the form the TLC expects.

What is a base station bond?
A base station bond is a license and permit surety bond required by the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission under its For-Hire Vehicle Rules. Any operator applying for or renewing a base license has to file one before the TLC will issue the license.
The bond is a guarantee to the City and to the riding public that your base will operate according to TLC rules: dispatching only properly licensed vehicles and drivers, keeping the records the Commission requires, paying the fines and judgments assessed against the base, and meeting the consumer protection obligations that come with the license. It is a guarantee rather than insurance. If a valid claim is paid, the surety looks to the base owner for reimbursement.
The TLC licenses three kinds of bases, and each one requires the bond: base stations dispatching for-hire vehicles, black car bases, and luxury limousine bases. The bond form and the amount are set by the Commission, and they can change with rule amendments, so the current form matters as much as the amount.
- Required by the NYC TLC before a base license is issued or renewed
- Applies to base stations, black car bases, and luxury limousine bases
- You pay an annual premium, not the full bond amount
- We file on the current TLC form so it is not rejected
